The mental health of stars, who are struggling with malicious comments and stress, is increasingly being emphasized. Singers like G-Dragon, BLACKPINK's Rosé, and former AOA member ChoA have been emphasizing the importance of mental health and expressing concern for the future of K-pop.

Recently, the hiatus of idols due to reasons like injuries and psychological stress has been garnering sympathy. As a result, the importance of mental health care for these artists is coming to the forefront. Senior artists who have experienced these challenges are also offering advice and support to their juniors.

Choa, at the production presentation of E Channel and Channel S's variety show 'Fun Sisters' held on the 28th, spoke about her advice for junior singers. "Among K-pop artists, many rely on medication to cope," she began. Choa continued, "I met senior artists while wondering how to sustain my career. They have been witnesses to this journey. I also want to support these friends and become a witness myself. Many struggle mentally, and I hope they don't take too much pressure and pursue happiness and mental wellness."

Choa debuted in 2012 with AOA's first single 'Angel's Story.' AOA established itself as a leading group in K-pop with hits like 'Short Hair,' 'Mini Skirt,' and 'Like a Cat.' Choa, who spread positive energy in various variety shows along with AOA activities, had suffered emotionally from dating rumors and other suspicions. After taking a break, Choa has resumed her activities.

BLACKPINK's Rosé also emphasized the importance of mental health for juniors. At an event on mental health hosted by U.S. First Lady Jill Biden for spouses of APEC summit participants, Rosé said, "No matter how hard I try, there will always be someone who has their own opinion or enjoys leading the narrative about me. It's important to talk about these things no matter how hard it gets. Like we eat for physical health and training, mental health requires as much or more attention."

Particularly, Rosé spoke about the hardship of malicious comments and emphasized the importance of mental health. First Lady Jill Biden agreed, "We often hide these (mental health) issues, keep them secret and ignore them. But we need to expose them and talk honestly to begin healing."

G-Dragon, facing drug use allegations, strongly denied the charges and sent a message that drugs are not acceptable. After being accused, G-Dragon voluntarily appeared at the police station, where hair and nail tests came back negative. With his travel ban lifted, G-Dragon's side has announced a tough response to defamation and sexual harassment.

In an interview, when asked if emptiness or stress among celebrities leads to drug addiction, G-Dragon said, "I don't know what image you might have of celebrities, but in my opinion, it's not like that. Emptiness or stress should be resolved personally, and I have found ways to do so. But it should never be drugs. Drugs are not the answer."
