BTS's Jungkook has shined in the 2023 year-end summary of Spotify, the world's largest music platform, by dominating the top spots across Asia.

Jungkook's solo single 'Seven' ranked 4th in Spotify's 'Top Tracks of 2023,' the year-end chart that compiles the most-streamed songs globally in 2023, thus proving its status as a global mega-hit song.

Released last July, 'Seven' achieved this remarkable feat in approximately four months, placing Jungkook among top global pop stars like Miley Cyrus, SZA, and Harry Styles, and recording the highest ranking for an Asian artist.

Jungkook also reigned supreme in Spotify's year-end charts across Asian countries.

'Seven' topped the 'Global Top K-Pop Song of the Year' category and ranked number one in countries like Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand, and Bangladesh.

In the 'Top Artist' category, Jungkook ranked third in the 'Global Top K-Pop Artist of the Year,' following BTS at first and Blackpink at second, achieving the highest position for a solo artist. He also ranked first in Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam. In Saudi Arabia, 'Seven' placed second in the Top Song category, while Jungkook ranked tenth in the Top Artist category, showcasing his unique presence and popularity in Asia.

Previously, 'Seven' broke the Spotify record for the fastest song to reach 100 million streams (before filtering) within six days of release and set a new world record as the fastest to achieve 1 billion streams (before filtering), officially registering in the Guinness World Records.

'Seven' also demonstrated exceptional streaming power on Spotify, being the first Asian artist's song to top the 'Daily Top Song Global' chart for a total of 71 days and entering the 'Weekly Top Song Global' as the longest-charting song of 2023 by a male artist for nine weeks.

Additionally, 'Seven' debuted at number one on Billboard's main single chart 'Hot 100' and charted for 15 weeks. It also secured the top spot on Billboard's major global charts 'Global (Excl. US)' for nine consecutive weeks and 'Global 200' for seven consecutive weeks. 'Seven' was the first song of 2023 to debut and remain at number one for nine consecutive weeks globally (excluding the US).

Moreover, 'Seven' has received Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over one million units.

This year, Jungkook achieved remarkable success with 'Seven,' winning the 'Song of Summer' category at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA), the 'Best Song' category at the 2023 MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA), and the 'Top Global K-Pop Song' at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards (BBMAs).
