Without a doubt, Carrie Underwood is not concerned that her new job on “American Idol” would bring her marriage to an end.
It has been said that the country singer, who is 41 years old, is really enthusiastic about the prospect of serving as a judge on the ABC singing competition. She is also certain that her husband, Mike Fisher, will be able to take care of their two sons at home while she is in Los Angeles filming.
"Carrie swears they can handle the long distance. Their friends worry about how they’re going to keep it together,” an unnamed source stated of Carrie and Mike, who wed in 2010.
Isaiah, who is nine years old, and Jacob, who is five years old, both attend school in Nashville, which is the location of the couple's principal residence at the moment.
"Carrie will be home every spare moment she has. Kids need structure so for the most part they’ll stay at home while Carrie’s traveling. Long distance is always a challenge, but Carrie says their faith in marriage and in God is stronger than anything. She wishes people would stop worrying,” the unidentified insider told Star Magazine.
OK! Magazine previously reported that, as a result of the "Before He Cheats" artist's flourishing career, which caused her to spend a significant portion of the previous year on tour, Carrie and Mike, who are both 44 years old, have already had to deal with the pain of being apart.
"They had their share of struggles behind closed doors, specifically when Mike was still playing hockey and they were having a hard time balancing their careers and home life. But there were still rough patches after his [2018] retirement, too. When they feel frustrated with each other or like they aren’t as connected as they could be, they make it a point to slow down, prioritize their marriage and meet in the middle,” the undisclosed informant stated.
To Carrie's good fortune, the former athlete was more than willing to take on the responsibility of managing his own career while also advancing his own career.
"Mike as a dad is just super involved in our boys’ lives, very hands on. It takes a team, definitely, to be able to support my crazy life and Mike’s always running around doing a lot of charity things and he’s always meeting with people and he’s on different boards and stuff like that. So we’re very much switching off duties as far as taking boys here and there to school and sports and to all the extracurricular activities,” the blonde beauty shared in a 2023 interview.
