Beyoncé's interviews are incredibly uncommon, and it is even more unusual for her to discuss her children, Blue, who is 12 years old, and Rumi and Sir, who are twins and are seven years old.
Blue is the oldest of the three. In the edition of GQ, the singer, who is 43 years old, did exactly that, providing a little insight into their inner world as well as her approach to parenting.
"One thing I've worked extremely hard on is making sure my kids can have as much normaley and privacy as possible," Beyoncé. "Raising three kids isn't easy. The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs, hobbies and social lives."
On the other hand, one of her children has already begun to demonstrate an interest in following in her footsteps and becoming renowned alike. When Blue joined her mother onstage on her Renaissance World Tour in 2023, she became a household name and garnered public attention, as per PEOPLE Magazine.
Due to the fact that the adolescent dancer performed intricate choreography alongside a group of professional back-up dancers, the audience was left in a state of awe. "She's a natural, but I did not want Blue onstage," Beyoncé confessed.
"Blue wanted it for herself. She took it seriously and she earned it. And more importantly, she had fun! We all! watched her grow more and more every night before our eyes," the songstress said. As a parent, Beyoncé did, too. "Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself," she said. "It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it."
As a mother, Beyonce will always be the person who provides the highest level of protection. In point of fact, the 32-time Grammy winner who has a daughter named Blue and twins named Rumi and Sir with her husband Jay-Z recently revealed that she is never going to waver in her commitment to ensuring that her children are as grounded as possible.
As she noted, "I have made an extreme effort to stay true to my boundaries and protect myself and my family. No amount of money is worth my peace."
And what about the singer of "Protector" and how she manages to create a balance between continuing her career and keeping the peace?
"I build my work schedule around my family," she explained. "I try to only tour when my kids are out of school. I always dreamt of a life where I could see the world with my family and expose them to different languages, architecture, and lifestyles." But as the singer noted, "Raising three kids isn’t easy."
"The older they get, the more they become their own individuals with unique needs," she continued, "hobbies, and social lives. My twins are God-sent. Parenting constantly teaches you about yourself. It takes a lot of prayer and patience. I love it. It’s grounding and fulfilling."
Having her three children at her side at all times is, without a doubt, one of the most satisfying aspects of her life, Life & Style Magazine reported.
