Ever since Prince Harry resigned from his position as a member of the Royal Family, there has been much conjecture about whether he would ever be willing to resume his formal responsibilities.

Despite his departure from the royal family, the Duke of Sussex has maintained his dedication to a "life of service." He has continued engaging with charitable organizations and causes near and dear to his heart, such as Sentebale and the Invictus Games, The Mirror reported.

The idea of Prince Harry returning to the royal family in a part-time capacity to fill in for the two senior royals was brought up once more during the period when King Charles and Princess Kate were both getting treatment for cancer and could not execute the duties that required them to interact with the public.

Prince Harry hurried back to the United Kingdom after the news of his father's illness was released, expressing his thanks for the opportunity to see King Charles for the first time. However, sources promptly disregarded his claims. Still, they have not gotten back together since then.

When Prince Harry's memoir, "Spare," was published in early 2023, he was directly questioned about the likelihood of his return during an interview conducted for book promotion. The Duke of Sussex's clear response encapsulated his thoughts and feelings regarding the situation.

"No. I don't think it is ever going to be possible. Even if there is an agreement or an arrangement between me and my family, there is that third party that is going to do everything they can to make sure that isn't possible. Not stopping us going back, but making it unsurvivable,” Prince Harry stated.

During an interview with "Good Morning America," he expressed his wish for "reconciliation" with Prince William and other members of the Royal Family despite having some reservations about rejoining the Family initially. In his words, the cancer that King Charles is battling could have a "reunifying effect."

In addition, he stated that he observes the power of the family unit when it comes together daily across all of these families. He believes that every illness, any ailment, causes families to come closer.

Not so long ago, Prince Harry made a rare trip back to the United Kingdom to honor the accomplishments and resiliency of children battling terrible illnesses and their families, PEOPLE Magazine reported. In his capacity as the charity's patron, which he has held for more than 15 years, the Duke of Sussex was present at the WellChild awards ceremony in London.
