Prior to her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle had already established herself as a prominent figure in the world through her thriving acting career.
On the other hand, she admitted that she was not entirely ready for the intense scrutiny of being a member of the Royal Family.
During the period that she was a working Royal, Meghan was candid about the challenges she faced with her mental health and the thoughts of suicide that she had, as per The Daily Record. As a result, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex realized that they needed to make some adjustments. They concluded that being full-time representatives of the crown who taxpayers paid was inappropriate for their young family.
Initially, they intended to continue their careers as working royals on a part-time basis; however, Queen Elizabeth regarded this model as unfeasible, which ultimately led to their complete separation from the House of Windsor.
Since then, ties between the Sussexes and other senior royals have been tight. According to reports, the friction has been caused by Meghan and Harry's honesty about their struggles within the monarchy and claims against Queen Camilla and Prince William.
On the other hand, Meghan acknowledged that she had made "an active effort" to forgive her Royal in-laws during a detailed interview in which she discussed the significance of "forgiveness". She disclosed that she had made the effort.
In an interview with The Cut magazine in 2022, Meghan Markle was asked if forgiveness was still possible despite all of the drama she had been experiencing with the Windsors and her own family. The conversation was conducted to promote her podcast "Archetypes."
"I think forgiveness is really important. It takes a lot more energy to not forgive...But it takes a lot of effort to forgive. I've really made an active effort, especially knowing that I can say anything", Meghan said, as per The Mirror.
Additionally, she claimed that there were no practical obstacles that prevented her from sharing her opinions about her experiences.
"It's interesting, I've never had to sign anything that restricts me from talking...I can talk about my whole experience and make a choice not to," Meghan stated. "I have a lot to say until I don't. Do you like that? Sometimes, as they say, the silent part is still part of the song,” the wife of Prince Harry later added.
During another portion of the interview, Meghan revealed that she had packed up her property in the United Kingdom, known as Frogmore Cottage, while she was in the country for the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration, which was held over the weekend while Princess Lilibet was celebrating her first birthday.
