Fans of the royal family are excitedly anticipating the release of a brand new documentary on ITV that will focus on Prince William's efforts to prevent homelessness.
For the first year of the Prince of Wales' Homewards initiative, which aims to develop a blueprint for eradicating homelessness in all its forms, "making it rare, brief, and unrepeated," the show, titled "Prince William: We Can End Homelessness," will be broadcast on ITV1 on Wednesday and Thursday nights. The show will also explore the first year of the initiative.
It has also been reported that overseas audiences can watch the performance beginning on Friday, November 1, on the streaming site Disney+. This is a welcome development for royal enthusiasts who are not located in the United Kingdom.
This indicates that it will be accessible to watch before Prince Harry's forthcoming documentary premiere, unveiling the lives of polo players, and will not be available on Netflix until December. Prince William recalls playing chess and conversing with people during his first visit to "The Passage" homelessness charity with his mother more than thirty years ago. This teaser previews the documentary that Prince William is getting ready to release.
Prince William said he was "a bit anxious as to what to expect" before his first visit and remembered his mother – Diana, Princess of Wales – "making everyone feel relaxed and having a laugh and joking with everyone."
"My mother took me to The Passage. She took Harry and I both there," the Prince of Wales stated, as per The Mirror. "I must have been about 11, I think probably at the time, maybe 10. I’d never been to anything like that before, and I was a bit anxious as to what to expect. My mother went about her usual part of making everyone feel relaxed and having a laugh and joking with everyone."
"I remember at the time kind of thinking, ‘well, if everyone’s not got a home, they’re all going to be really sad’. But it was incredible how happy an environment it was. I remember having some good conversations just playing chess and chatting. That’s when it dawned on me that there are other people out there who don’t have the same life as you do," Prince William added.
"When you’re quite small, you don’t really, you just think life is what you see in front of you and you don’t really have the concept to look elsewhere and it’s when you meet people, I did then, who put a different perspective in your head and say like, well, 'I was a living on the street last night’' and you’re like 'woah’' you know," the husband of Princess Kate went on.
The first teaser for "POLO," a show that Harry has worked on and explores professional polo players' lives, was made available to the public through September, as per Hindustan Times. "POLO" is a new documentary series that Netflix has announced, which follows professional players from around the world and provides a unique glimpse behind the scenes at the fast-paced world of the sport. Archewell Productions and Boardwalk Pictures produced this film. Launching in December.
Netflix also gave fans a sneak peek of four still shots from the series. These still images included a shot of three polo players mounted on their steeds and two competitors rushing with mallets in chase of the ball.
It was disclosed in April this year that Prince Harry had signed a deal with Netflix to develop a documentary series about the mysterious sport of polo. The release of this information came earlier this year.
By a statement issued at the time, the series promised to provide viewers access to the world of professional polo that had never been seen before. Much filming occurred in Florida, specifically at the US Open Polo Championship.
