After the success of his recent visit to Australia and Samoa, it was learned that King Charles is increasing his intentions to return to "business as usual" when it comes to his royal duties. This comes along with the fact that his journey was so successful.
During their royal tour of Australia and Samoa, King Charles and Queen Camilla took to social media to express their gratitude to the people who were fortunate to meet and greet them. Since then, royal admirers have generously reacted to their message of appreciation, New Idea Magazine reported.
The Royal Family's official account on social media platform X published a statement on the official account: "Thank you to all those who turned out to support Their Majesties in Australia and Samoa."
The caption was accompanied by a video montage that showcased the highlights of their journey. This included the Sydney Opera House being illuminated with a loop of photos of the Royal Family and the farewell ceremony that they received in Samoa prior to their departure.
On October 26, at noon local time, the King Charles and Queen Camilla boarded a Royal Australia Air Force jet bound for their departure from Samoa, as per Daily Express. As they boarded the plane at Apia's Faleolo International Airport, they waved goodbye to their fellow passengers.
Fans have already expressed their desire for the monarch to return soon. The user @tanyapoulter posted the following message on social networking platform X: "We adore you! Rest up & come back soon & go to more states!"
According to a source close to the royal family, they have already begun preparing for the tour that will take place the following year.
"We're now working on a pretty normal-looking, full overseas tour program for next year," a royal aide confirmed.
However, given that Charles, who will turn 76 the following week, is still subject to treatment for cancer (which was temporarily halted on the most recent tour), there are others inside the industry who are concerned about his refusal to slow down. His wife, Queen Camilla, is 77 years old.
"Camilla was visibly emotional in Samoa when Charles said in a speech that he hoped he would 'survive' long enough to return," a source told The Daily Beast website. "She is understandably fearful [he] is rushing his recovery."
There is still a question of whether or not the King can be convinced to hold off on putting the brakes on for a bit longer.
