There have been recent stories that have prompted curiosity about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's relationship. These claims have been about a potential book deal that involves a "divorce" book.

According to a source who spoke with Page Six, the couple is unable to divorce because the value of their relationship lies in their cooperation. An insider close to the pair asserts their profound bond and "obsession" with each other, characterizing them as "two narcissists." This is in contrast to the accusations that Markle's staff examined interest in a post-divorce book.

According to a different insider who is familiar with the couple's initial $20 million arrangement with Penguin Random House in 2021, there was no mention of a divorce book in the agreement. Instead, people believed that the original agreement would address topics like "leadership" and "wellness."

In spite of this, it would appear that the focus of their publishing attempts has moved as a result of the success of Prince Harry's biography, "Spare," which has sold more than six million copies and established new records for being the nonfiction book that has sold the most copies quickest.
The insider in the publishing industry stressed that Prince Harry and Meghan are more valuable together since their joint businesses, particularly their partnership with Netflix, benefit from their teamwork.

For the sake of securing their documentary series, "Harry & Meghan," the Netflix agreement apparently featured a wide range of projects that were accepted. These projects covered a variety of concepts, including the possibility of a lifestyle program for Markle.

Vanity Fair claimed that the suspected "divorce" book would focus on the aftermath of a potential split from Prince Harry rather than Markle's former marriage to Trevor Engelson, which she prefers not to disclose.

Importantly, the book meeting was not an indication that a breakup was about to take place; rather, it was only an investigation into the possibility of a publisher showing interest in the event that a divorce takes place.

Due to the fact that there is now no divorce to document, there were ultimately no proposals made, and there was also no production of a manuscript. Furthermore, there were debates on the possibility of Prince Harry dividing his book into two parts; nevertheless, in the end, he decided to preserve it as a single volume.

Markle, on the other hand, has only ever published a book for children. In addition, there were plans for her to write a book about wellness and a book about leadership that she would co-author with Prince Harry as part of the arrangements with Random House.

In response to speculations that they had split, Prince Harry made a hilarious statement at the New York Times' 2024 DealBook Summit. According to the Mirror, he said, "Apparently we've bought or moved house 10, 12 times. We've apparently divorced maybe 10, 12 times as well. So it's just like, what? It's hard to keep up with, but that's why you just sort of ignore it. The people I feel most sorry about are the trolls."
