It has been a very long time since Jennifer Lopez has spoken about love, but she has finally done so.

During a conversation about her upcoming film, "Kiss of the Spider Woman," which has just made its debut at the Sundance Film Festival, she mentioned that the plot is emotionally moving because it is about an individual falling in love.

This news comes three weeks after the movie star made the final arrangements for her divorce from Ben Affleck, her husband of two years.

In an interview with Variety on Sunday, Lopez expressed her belief that the photograph serves as a reminder "that love heals all divides between people."

An additional statement was made by the actress who starred in "Unstoppable," stating, "It's about two different people who come together and find the humanity in one another and fall in love."

She believed it to be unique and something worth observing. She said that everyone is just a human being; when viewed in this light, the film is significant. She also mentioned that it was an exciting experience to sing and act at the same time.

She claimed that the new musical drama film allowed her to fulfill her ambition to act in an old-school musical movie. The celebrity, who is 55 years old, portrays the lead character in the film.

She had been waiting her entire life to be able to perform in a genuine big MGM Hollywood musical, and she finally got the opportunity to do it; Lopez has shared this in an interview with Variety.

She said it was more than she had hoped. She and Diego were on set, dancing and singing together, looking at each other, and feeling like they didn't want to do anything but musicals, which Diego had expressed the same sentiment.

The story of "Kiss of the Spider Woman," inspired by the Broadway musical of the same name in 1993, unfolds in an Argentine prison in 1981.

A fantasy woman named Aurora is constructed by a gay hairdresser named Luis Molina while he is serving an eight-year sentence for the alleged corruption of a minor. Lopez assumes the role of Aurora.

Molina imagines classic films featuring Aurora, including the character of the spider woman who murders her prey with a kiss, in order to escape the awful experience of being imprisoned.

A Marxist named Valentin Arregui Paz joins him in his cell, transforming his life. The two of them then create an odd friendship with one another.

Lopez believes the new Bill Condon-directed film has the potential for Oscar recognition, much like William Hurt's win for "Kiss of the Spider Woman," as per Daily Mail.

She shared that Bill's script deeply moved her, so much so that she found herself reading it aloud in bed, laughing and crying. It was the kind of work she had always dreamed of.

Lopez also explained that her love for musicals, sparked by "West Side Story," led her into movies rather than Broadway, though she never considered recording music. Being part of this film felt like a dream come true for her.
