Xiaomi is best known as a company offering high-powered devices at a cheap price. The latest from that lot is the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus which recently went on sale in China.

Available in either black or gold color schemes, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus is available in either 64 GB or 128 GB storage options. The first one roughly costs about $275 while the larger storage tablet runs for about $305, Gizmo China said.

Touted as the first Mi tablet to sport a 10.1-inch (1920x1200 pixels) full HD display, the device is molded by round corners and powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset backed by 4 GB of RAM and an Adreno 512 GPU. As one can see, the tablet is categorized as a mid-range device.

Aside from that, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus also includes a 13 MP main camera and a front-facing 5 MP shooter. It also comes with an AI-backed facial recognition feature and makes use of a physical home button that doubles as a fingerprint reader. It comes with MIUI 10 on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, the Deccan Chronicle said

To keep it up and functional, the responsibility will fall on the shoulders of an 8620 mAh battery. According to Xiaomi Today, the battery should be sufficient to provide up to 16 hours of video playback, 18 hours of reading and 10 hours of playing games.

The tablet should be something worth checking out, particularly for folks who are looking for a long-lasting and efficiently performing device to render media. With a larger display and large battery, this is one tablet expected to hit it well with heavy users for their daily and entertainment needs – not to mention something that is priced very reasonably.

For now, only the base model (4 GB RAM and 64 GB ROM) is available for pre-order. There is no official word yet on when the 128 GB version will come out although it could be in the following months.

Worth noting as well is that the device will only be available in China with no announcement on whether Xiaomi will make it available on the global stage. The same holds true on whether the number of units produced, another important part considering the company put a cap on producing the number of units.

Looming as one of the wise-buy tablets in the market, folks who want to get their hands on one may have to find other ways to do so. Some could either travel to China to get one or look for a contact to help them secure one.
