“Kingdom Hearts 3” players have often overlooked the storyline of the game, focusing more on actual gameplay. Part of this is because the scripts are hard to follow but it looks like the people behind it will try to back it up by focusing a bit more on the newcomers.

This seems to be the plan for “Kingdom Hearts 3” with the intent of helping everyone to try and catch up. This was bared no less by series director Tetsuya Nomura who discussed more the game with VG247.

According to Nomura, new elements will be introduced on “Kingdom Hearts 3” in an effort to explain and get newcomers up to speed. This will be done through a series of videos at the start of the game, something that should brief players on the game and the previous versions. Indirectly, he adds that it would be neat if some would go to the extent of playing past installments to get a good feel for what “Kingdom Hearts” is really about.

While the plan seems sensible, Nomura held off on details on how the video would be presented to gamers. There are already several game trailers out, each teasing on what to expect for “Kingdom Hearts 3.” Some may end up asking people about the game although most may likely want to know more through official videos expected to be produced by the Square Enix team.

Like its predecessors, “Kingdom Hearts 3” is expected to carry the same philosophy. It will require some investment and plenty of content. Folks who have already played previous installments are fully aware how this will eat up their time. According to some reports, players will need around 40-50 hours to understand the main story at the least and more for gamers who are aiming for a complete experience.

For a quick overview, “Kingdom Hearts 3” will be all about friendship as well as the battle between light and darkness. Sora and his friends set off on a perilous adventure with the game set in Disney and Pixar Worlds. The main protagonist will be initially joined by Donald Duck and Goofy as they try to stop an evil force from taking over the universe. The trio will eventually unite with other familiar Disney-Pixar characters to take on the multiple challenges that are threatening their world, Comicbook.com said.

“Kingdom Hearts 3” is set to be launched on Jan. 25, 2019 with versions for the PS4 and Xbox One.
