The Communist Party of China has released updated guidelines that shall form the basis of how governing members shall act and behave. The new regulations discouraged political rumors and religious disconnection among party members. It was released on Aug. 26 but the majority of the laws were already in effect as early as Aug. 18. The guidelines came from the corruption watchdog, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection.

The new set of rules comes at a time when Beijing has to face challenges brought about by the US-China trade war and other conflicts from outside geopolitical relations. Hence, President Xi Jinping is expecting accord now more than ever from the party leaders and its members.

The regulations prohibit party members from discussing central party policies or decisions on unofficial platforms. Members are highly discouraged to spread political gossips that can damage the party's internal relationships according to Reuters. The rules required party members to be moral and upright and to repel any abuse of power or behavior with ulterior motives.

Party members who differ from the party's religious belief will be invited to educational sessions to be facilitated by party organization. If members chose to stick with his or her original religious affiliation, then he or she will be convinced to leave the party. Members who will attend or start religious activities that will promote incitement within the party shall be expelled.

Party members shall also observe loyalty to the history of the country. Most importantly, the new set of rules shall see a more unified party founded on loyalty and harmony.

The most severe form of punishment is expulsion from the party. However, the prosecution may come to those who deliberately breach the rules and incite many people to follow the same.

President Xi is displaying his utmost concern of keeping harmony in his country. Last week, the president asked for absolute loyalty from the country's military. Specifically, he asked the armed forces to be loyal to the party, promote discipline among soldiers, and boost their combat capabilities.

The president told military leaders to exert more effort on training the young and talented officers by exposing them in challenges that they might encounter in the field. He also encouraged more budgetary allocations to the training of join-operation commanders, special forces, high-level science and technology researchers, and strategic planners. He has also encouraged everyone to repel corruptions and fend off extravagance inside the country's military units.
