December remains a busy month for Pokemon Go player with a new breed of critters on the horizon. It seems a new clan of Deoxys will be made available later this month, something Niantic warns will pose as a challenge to capture.
According to Gamespot, Attack Forme Deoxys will be made available in EX Raids later this month, each carrying a much higher attack stat than the standard ones. For those who may be hearing about them for the first time, these Pokemon critters initially came out earlier this year. They Mythical Psychic Pokemon Deoxys appeared as the second EX Raid Boss replacing MewTwo.
Further to the report, these new form of Deoxys will be arriving by the next cycle of EX Raid invites which is pegged around Dec. 20. This means that augmented reality players who want to take part will need an invitation to do so. Hence, some effort falls at the hands of a Pokemon Go player, meaning they need to have recently won in a Raid Battle at a "qualifying" Gym.
According to Pokemon Go Hub, the best chances of catching the attack form Deoxys require the following CP Values:
- 1372 – 1474 CP with no weather boost (Level 20)
- 1716 – 1842 CP with Windy weather (Level 25)
Pokemon Go players who have already done EX Raids for the Normal forme Deoxys should have an easier time since most would have the counters for it. Hence, the only concern may be getting an EX Raid Pass.
With still a couple of days left, players can do the necessary to qualify. If not, there are still some other things Pokemon Go players can do. That includes hunting down the Legendary Cresselia, the Psychic Pokemon who will be leaving Raid Battles by Dec. 18. As of this writing, there is no word on who the next Legendary will be although there have been rumblings of possibly seeing Azelf, Uxie, and Mesprit.
Aside from trying to snag the Legendary Pokemon, also set to return is the annual holiday celebration of Pokemon Go. The event unfolds on Dec. 18, introducing another handful of Gen 4 Pokemon. Among the critters to expect include Snorlax's pre-evolved form, Munchlax, Snover, Abomasnow, and Croagunk.
And of course, there are other neat Pokemon to look forward to. There is the festive hat Pikachu and Delibird together with different bonuses that will pop up during the event period. Do take note that the event will last only up to Jan. 2.
