Another Community Day event awaits “Pokemon Go” players this December, a fitting end for gamers who remain hooked on the hit augmented reality game from Niantic. It seems that the plan is to bring back every Community Day-featured Pokemon from last year plus some added perks like extended hours filled with special bonuses.
The first “Pokemon Go”Community Day event kicks off on Nov. 30 starting at 4:00 p.m. E.T. and will last until Dec. 2 at 2:00 p.m. ET., Game Rant said. Do take note that there will be select special bonuses available only starting Dec. 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. E.T., likely rendering some meta-relevant Pokemon such as Dratini, Bedlum, and Larvitar.
The initial Community Day event should be welcome news for players who have missed out some events from 2018 or for the ones who still want to add in a few more to their collection. With an allowance of only three hours, expect a lot of “Pokemon Go” players keeping tabs with their surroundings or visiting places where these pocket monsters may be lurking.
Among the critters expected to spawn during this period are Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum, Comicbook said. All are expected to appear in increased frequencies, meaning folks may want to make room or dispose of some of the pocket monsters in their inventory that they hardly need or use.
As far as the goodies to expect, “Pokemon Go” players will get Double Catch XP, Double Catch Stardust, and Double Incubator effectiveness – all on Dec. 1. As of this writing, it remains to be seen if there are other bonuses and goodies to look forward to such as special shiny creatures – a lot of which came out in 2018.
For those who may be unaware of the Community Day events, Niantic started it all back in January. They have since held one each month and usually runs for three hours.
Aside from these Community Events, there is a new Legendary Pokemon coming out off the wild. Cresselia, a legendary Psychic-type that was introduced in Gen 4 games Diamond and Pearl, will be appearing in Raid Battles until Dec. 18, Game Spot said. Finally, there is also the Special Research questline that revolves around the new Mythical Pokemon Meltan expected to keep all gamers quite busy.
There is a lot in store for “Pokemon Go” players, clearly indicating a pretty busy month for augmented reality players. Mark the aforementioned dates and don’t miss this chance before the year officially comes to a close.
