It seems Nintendo started the new year with lots of surprises for its loyal fans. On Wednesday, January 9, the tech company release a video of Yoshi's Crafted World. The trailer reveals its famous gameplay Yoshi's Crafted World release date for Switch, which is set for March 29.
The video shows cute characters of the gameplay. It features Super Mario's dinosaur friend Yoshi, meaning he is the protagonist in this game. Apart from Yoshi's Crafted World, Nintendo also revealed another handcrafted style, gameplay Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, will be due on March 8 for 3DS.
What to expect on Yoshi's Crafted World?
Yoshi is the protagonist of this gameplay, meaning you play as Yoshi. The goals of this game are to solve puzzles, collect eggs and throw them, and jump around to make it through levels. Those eggs that players collected can then be aimed and fired at enemies, and can be used as traps. These eggs can also be the solutions for a puzzle as well.
Stages can be played backward for another challenge. This game also supports two-player co-op. For Super Mario game players, they may find "Yoshi's Crafted World" familiar. It's a bit of a spiritual sequel to "Yoshi's Island: Super Mario World 2," which was launched on the SNES in 1995.
Meanwhile, another gameplay that will be released also in March is Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn. According to NDTV, this gameplay was originally released in 2010. Just like Yoshi's Crafted World, it has cutesy platformer.
Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn is an "enhanced" edition of Kirby's Epic Yarn from the Wii. Players play as Kirby, a character brought to a universe where everything is made of cloth and yarn. The objective of this game is to use the yarn to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.
According to Gamespot, all of the stages from the Wii version are included in the 3DS edition. Nintendo added new features in this game like "Ravel" abilities and new mini-games. There is also a new "Devilish" mode, a challenging stage.
"Ravel" abilities include a giant yarn ball, an ability used to attack enemies, a wire sword, an ability to slice through anything, and the Nylon ability, use to generate wind in order to jump higher and collect beads.
Yoshi's Crafted World will be available on Switch on March 29 for $60.
