China automaker, GAC Motor, plans to enter the United States market. GAC displayed its, Entranze, an all-electric concept claimed that was designed in the United States in the 2019 Detroit Auto Show.

GAC sells cars in China under the brands Trumpchi and Gonow and they have appeared in the Detroit Auto Show for the past two years. The company discussed its plans to sell cars in the United States.

Entranze is a seven-seater concept and it is the first product design of the company's California design studio. The California branch is headed by Pontus Fontaeus who have worked with automakers including Ferrari, Land Rover, and Volvo. He is the recent director interior design of Faraday Future before he left in October 2017.

The Entranze is Fontaeus' first car with GAC and he it is claimed to have similarities with the Faraday Future's FF 91. Both the cars are like a futuristic minivan. It also has glass sliding doors that are good to look at but has crash safety issues.

GAC said that its new car was designed from the inside out. They claim that it was designed as an "ultimate road trip vehicle" that has plenty of room for passengers and cargo. It was conceptualized like common U.S. market cars that have a three-person bench seat in the front. The car has two rows of two seats behind the front row.

Gac's Entranze is equipped with high-end dashboard screens that include OLED screens into the corner where the dashboard meets the doors. The steering wheel has touch control functions and most it the functions in the car can be controlled through a built-in voice assistant.

According to GAC, the car has a small trolley that slides down the middle of the car which keeps its all-electric powertrain. They added that 90 percent of the interior of the car is made of cork.

The company did not discuss the extent of their production. The car company announced previously that they wanted to sell cars in the U.S. market this 2019. However, the on-going tensions between the United States and China over trade could pose as a threat to its marketing. The success of its venture in the U.S. market might start its launch of more conventional vehicles including its SG5 SUV and the GMC minivan that is planned to be displayed alongside the Entrance during the 2109 Detroit Auto Show.
