It has been around three years since Angelina Jolie severed ties with beau Brad Pitt. 13 years after their whirlwind romance on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the pair has called it quits in 2016 and is now focused on a custody battle.
A week after finding out Pitt's presence at Jennifer Aniston's golden natal party, Jolie has shown no trace of sourness about the supposed reunion. In a recent run with fifteen-year-old son Pax at Melrose in Los Angeles on February 16, the Tomb Raider star is all smiles.
Considering that it was a mother-and-son outing, it is but natural for Jolie to enjoy the day with her teenager. It has been reported that for quite some time now, the actress has known that Pitt and Aniston had gotten in touch once again.
However, the news may have been difficult for Jolie to accept that such level of relationship has taken a deeper turn. With this in mind, it is unsurprising that the 1999 Best Supporting Actress for Girl, Interrupted, has focused on better things like her kids.
On the other hand, Brad Pitt's intention to hook up with Aniston is not really surprising. Judging how both sides have parted ways during the early years of 2000, the two may have a lot of catching up to do. Their bitter split, which happened in 2005, has gradually mellowed down as the former couple had become friends over the years.
The inclusion of the Troy actor on the list for Aniston's golden event has been in the works prior. During the bash, however, there has been no lengthy conversation. They hugged and the exchange of pleasantries is rather short. Pitt has reportedly spent most of the night with close friends George Clooney and Orlando Bloom.
It has also been disclosed that Aniston received a gift from her former flame days before the party. Like the rest of the guests, the present has been sent to the "Friends" star's home. It is likely that the two have put the pungency of their past relationship in the back burner.
In spite of everything that has happened lately to Pitt and Aniston, talks of a passionate reconciliation are far off. The actor's invitation to the event has been extended by someone other than the birthday celebrant. His presence during the bash has been intended to support the actress. Although they communicate every now and then, there is no romance happening anytime soon.
