The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti is expected to bring some improvements that would delight their customers. This is after the well-known company has been producing non-hits like the RTX Turing family, RTX 2070, and 2080.

In an article published by Billionaire365, it is said that Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti is the company's another chance to convince the public that they still have the elements to win sales. So far, it looks like it will deliver its promise.

Various reports indicated that the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti bridged between the GTX 1060 andRTX 2060. Looking closer at the card review, this could be the best Turing GPU that Nvidia has launched.

In an article published by Forbes, the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti features the company's latest NVENC video-encoding engine, Turing's redesigned and re-balanced cache structure, and the ability to do concurrent integer and floating point operations.

The significant performance improvement of the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti also means that it will have a price increase. It debuted on the market at $249 but the actual launch price was set at $279.

Not convinced that the price increase is justified? The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti sports a Turing (TU116) GPU Architecture.

The Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has 1536 GOU cores and no tensor cores and no RT scores. Still, it has 120 texture units and 48 render outputs.

This is despite the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti has the TU116 GPU at its heart based on Turing. Besides the tensor cores and RT scores, the TU116 GPU is comprised of roughly 6.6 billion transistors and a 284 square millimeters die size.

The TU116, which is part of the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti, is also built in using 12nm FinFet manufacturing process than the 16nm process that Pascal is using.

The memory bus width of the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti is 192-bit. Meanwhile, the memory bandwidth is 288 GB/s with 6GB memory capacity.

Comparing the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti to GTX 1060 6 GB, the former registered a 36% relative performance increase. With this improvement compared to the other one, the price increase is justified especially is users want to experience better.

The Forbes article also said that the Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti does not automatically mean that it "drastically change" the landscape of PC Gaming. However, the entry price point of $279 represents a strong value and offers the best for gamers who are using 1080p to the 1440p range.

Moreover, Forbes said the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is better than the costlier GeForce GTX 1070 and the GeForce GTX 1060. This is based on their test.
