Roman Reigns made his return during the Feb. 25 edition of WWE Raw and the former Universal champion showed everyone that he is good to go. All this was on display when he and Seth Rollins joined hands to assist Dean Ambrose, raising speculations on his official return date to active ring duty.
Revealing that his fight with Leukemia is in remission, most are now figuring out how the WWE scriptwriters will re-introduce the Reigns back into the fray. A plausible pay-per-view is Wrestlemania 35 although it seems that the spectacle is already stacked with interesting bouts.
If his health permits, Reigns could restart his WWE path with a match against a fan favorite or a legend. Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would make sense, seeing how it could help the Big Dog in his film debut. Reigns is set to appear on “Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw,” Cosmicbook.com said.
This would depend on the schedule of Johnson, someone who has been busy in Hollywood the past years. If not The Rock, another person that comes to mind is John Cena.
Like Reigns, Cena has yet to get a match for Wrestlemania 35 and pitting the two former champions against each other seems plausible. But the question now is how WWE writers will set the storylines since there are plenty of factors to consider, Comicbook.com said.
There is also that chance that Reigns may delay his return, meaning he could still be at Wrestlemania 35 but not in an actual match. Revealing he was dealing with Leukemia only last October usually merits longer recovery unless the whole thing was used as a front and not an actual health issue.
Whatever the real score behind it is, the important thing is that Roman Reigns has weathered another health episode and that he is returning to the WWE soon. As mentioned earlier, the current crop of WWE stars set to appear at Wrestlemania 35 should have all bases covered – meaning there is no need to rush Reigns back into action.
Another possible scenario is to have Reigns get involved in some match to start a storyline. It could be against Brock Lesnar, someone who has appeared on select occasions. It doesn’t need to be as physical as the one most saw in the last Monday edition of RAW.
Reigns has proven vast improvement behind the microphone, something that drew criticism the past years. He could stick to that for now until he is physically fit to take the pounding inside the WWE ring.
