Meghan Markle's New York City baby shower was attended by less than 20 guests, composed of just close friends and a few of her Suits female co-stars. But because of its lavish reception, transportation expenses to and from the UK to New York and back, not to mention a world-renowned chef to facilitate the food and the baby bags plus beauty bags all luxurious and branded. This is Hollywood and celebrity life, which is far more different from a British Royal, with a lot of restrictions.

In a report regarding the retired American actress' baby shower at the Upper East Side Hotel at The Mark, the $75,000 a-night room bill was no other than charged to Serena Williams. The baby shower turned flower-arranging lesson and dessert tasting with in-house restaurant's head chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten was all a treat from her generous friends, not to mention her special flight on a private jet that costs $100,000 from the UK to New York was complimented by her close friend from Toronto. Then the Duchess of Sussex went back to the UK on a private jet, paid by Amal Clooney for her dearest royal friend.

In an estimated figure of $200,000-$400,000 for the baby shower of Meghan Markle, would be from the baby bags and beauty bags she gave as complimentary gifts to her less than 20 guests. Like the navy blue cashmere jumpers with the words 'baby baby baby' stitched into them with gold thread, these jumpers are from Lingua Franca that makes high-end, eco-friendly products. Jumpers like this from Lingua Franca will cost $800 each, while the luxury suitcases that Markle has given away has its brand Away which around $200-$300. An exclusive Cuyana tote which is $200 each contains luxury beauty items that the royal uses herself like Jessica alba's all-natural brand, Honest Beauty and Rodin luxury oils.

Maybe it all started from an interview with Princess Diana's former royal butler, Paul Burrell when he was asked where he thinks the Duchess of Sussex will give birth although he has some points where his answers are purely frank and straight to the point especially in terms of his description of Meghan Markle. For Paul Burrell, the former tv personality is strong and defiant in terms of her decisions and choices. With this, the former royal staff has said that Meghan Markle will not follow the traditional normal delivery in the palace or even follow Kate Middleton's hospital of choice, in Lindo Wing.

He added that his thoughts about the lavish baby shower of Meghan Markle in New York City, recommending that the Duchess of Sussex must not upset the Queen, furthermore he said that he doesn't think Queen Elizabeth II would've approved of the Suits alum decision to have an expensive baby shower with her friends. "Meghan needs to be careful because she cannot upset the Queen... I think our Queen is above all of that. She will not understand what all this fuss is about and then she will pull them aside and have a good word with her grandson," he said. But not to worry though, all these speculations of the baby shower's cost must be cleared now for the sake of Meghan Markle.
