New Amsterdam Episode 15, titled "Croaklahoma," will bring Max's (Ryan Eggold) cancer treatment to the forefront. The medical director may experience meltdown as he bonds with other cancer patients, and things may change from here.
"Max bonds with the patients undergoing chemo with him, but a conversation lead him to struggle with his reality," New Amsterdam Episode 15 official synopsis read. "Reynolds (Jocko Sims) has difficulty handling a personal matter regarding a patient's family; Iggy (Tyler Labine) struggles with a realization about his daughter."
Max may feel like he is Superman for the incredible strength he is feeling. But, being around with patients and friends who have to face their death reminds him of his limitations because of his illness. Although Max will be seen enjoying his bond with other chemo patients, he is suffering panic attacks. He will be confessing his fears to Georgia (Lisa O'Hare) to lessen his concerns and make him feel calm. However, the stress he is feeling will lead him to question Sharpe's (Freema Agyeman) judgment while treating a fellow chemo patient and his friend in New Amsterdam Episode 15.
Max's meltdown may be due to seeing how other cancer patients get treated, or it can be because he finds it hard to manage his frustrations properly. All the stress, pain, and long hours of working and treatments may have got to him in New Amsterdam Episode 15 that he suddenly lashes out.
The scene may put tension between Sharpe and Max as the patient needs to trust his doctor. Sharpe has a lot of things to learn and worry about, instead of thinking about her boss in New Amsterdam Episode 15. But, her patient is about to teach her a thing about the "healing power of love" as he aims to stop his chemotherapy.
Aside from Max's problems, there will also be tension between Reynold and Iggy in New Amsterdam Episode 15. Iggy's daughter will make a return, but it is not yet confirmed if she is all right.
Meanwhile, according to CarterMatt, fans like to see some "emotional resolution" when Reynolds visits Bloom (Janet Montgomery) as she works hard to recover from her Adderall addiction. It can't be denied that Reynolds still cares for her. Although he already has someone new in his life, he cannot erase what they have shared and gone through.
