If there is one thing Smartphone manufacturers do day in and day out is to look for new innovations. Like clockwork, companies like Apple, Samsung, Huawei and many others tweak their brains - and their gadgets - to come out with the next best thing. It is not only a thing or a fad that will soon fade out; it is a strategic marketing strategy aimed at consumers who want the best in their pockets.
There have been many reports about Apple looking to revamp the iPhone in hopes to keep up the pace with its Android counterpart. The iPhone 11, according to sources, is starting to surface via a new schematic. Still, it's too early to tell whether the renders are accurate considering there have been a few ones that are thought to be as close as it gets, but ended up on some corner. But if long-time Apple insider Ming-Chi Kou says something, then it's worth more than the proverbial 2 cents.
Tech website BGR recently posted that Kou, whose prediction of all things Apple is as accurate as a laser-guided missile, is suggesting that the upcoming iPhone 11 will come with a bevy of improvements. These include, among others, "improved waterproofing, enhanced Face ID", a novel "frosted glass" backside instead of the usual clear glass, and a rather unusual move to duplicate Samsung's "power-sharing feature." If these are all true, or at least near the bull's eye of what Apple users want to have in their iPhone 11, then 2019 is shaping to be a good year for the company, rather than the opposite.
Another good prospect that the iPhone 11 is on the move is the leaked schematics found by Cult of Mac. According to the website, the drawings include a "major camera upgrade". It's not necessarily the best thing that came out of Apple's drawing table, nor does it make a direct appeal to its consumers. It's unofficial, at least for now, but we're seeing a glimpse of what the next-generation iPhone could be.
The website further noted that the "good news" about the leaked drawing is that the iPhone 11 will have three camera sensors. That's one sensor added to the mix and yes, it will reinvent the way users take pictures and videos in the process. However, there is no word about what the new sensor would be. They said that it will most likely to be an "ultra-wide-angle lens". These are the same snapper sensors found on Apple's direct rivals. Somehow, it will make the Smartphone race a tad fiercer now that Apple is looking for a camera overhaul.
The downside of the schematic and the news about the new iPhone 11 camera sensor is the placing. There will be users who want a minimalist look, while some take symmetry on a whole new level. Based on the image, the three cameras are somewhat arranged in a triangular form alongside the flash. There's no telling whether the new cameras would work better with that formation, or if the designers found a new breakthrough. Still, it's enough that we know that Apple is up to something and that the schematic is not an official render. It was posted by Chinese tech website Weibo, but it was enough to move something out of our curiosity.
