Netflix renewed Big Mouth for season 3, though it hasn't yet revealed many details about it. But for sure, the next season will still focus on the horrors of growing up along with puberty monsters. For now, here's everything you need to know about Big Mouth season 3, including its possible air date and what to expect in the third season.

Big Mouth season 2 was released on Netflix back in October, dropping all of its 10 episodes at once. The animated series stars Nick Kroll (as Nick Birch), John Mulaney (Andrew Glouberman), Jason Mantzoukas (Jay Bilzerian), and Fred Armisen (Elliot Birch). It was co-created by Kroll along with Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and Andrew Goldberg.

Big Mouth received mixed reviews from viewers due to its crude, but brutally honest take on growing up. The series follows the horrors of growing up where middle-schoolers have to face the puberty monsters, which urge them to explore their sexualities, as well as making questionable decisions in life.

Big Mouth season 3 was already announced by Netflix and it also dropped a promo, teasing fans that the next installment will get "even messier" while puberty continues to wreak havoc among the teens. As for the release date, reports suggest the third season will arrive between September-October 2019. ScreenRant also reported Big Mouth season 3 is expected to premiere in Fall 2019.

There were also a lot of things to expect in the story of the third installment. For instance, Nick finally gets a hormone monster, Connie (Maya Rudolph). Thus, viewers will see Nick in Big Mouth season 3 exploring and discovering what it's like to be a "horny teenage boy."

But perhaps, the character with the biggest arc in the upcoming installment is Jessi (Jessi Klein). As seen in season 2, Jessi couldn't cope with her own hormones and parents' divorce, which prompted her to do bad things - such as shoplifting, started a slut-shaming scandal, and experimenting with drugs. She eventually succumbs to a new emotional monster named Depression Kitty (Jean Smart).

Big Mouth season 3 will further explore Jessi's depressions, which is a relevant issue to some teenagers nowadays. On the other note, the animated series has also become one of the true comedic gems in the television right now, largely because of its vulgar honesty about puberty.

Surely, future seasons of the animated series will dig deeper regarding the awkwardness of adolescence. Luckily, we'll soon be seeing the Big Mouth season 3 returning on the small screen, and it probably has prepared more brutally honest take on growing up.
