Kawhi Leonard is proving to be a vital cog for the Toronto Raptors, too good that most have forgotten he is due to hit NBA free agency in the summer. And while most feel that it would be foolish for the 27-year-old to jump ship, the Raptors locker room think otherwise.

In fact, some claim that Leonard is more likely to bolt Toronto and that his next stop in Los Angeles. The only thing left out is whether his next team would be the Los Angeles Clippers or the Los Angeles Lakers, the Bleacher Report said.

"One former player said Leonard's teammates expect him to leave for Los Angeles after the season, although he didn't specify which franchise," reported Ed Pincus.

Of course, word of Leonard moving to Los Angeles is nothing new. It has been a recurring claim with the Clippers reportedly the favorites to land him. The Lakers would love to have Kawhi on their end but playing behind the shadows of LeBron James is seen as something that would prevent the NBA All-Star from considering the purple and gold, NBC Sports said.

The Clippers, on the other hand, could be a wise choice. Not only will he be the star of the franchise, but he will also be in the good hands of a proven coach in Doc Rivers. As most know by now, the Lakers are in shambles after the exit of former team president Earving "Magic" Johnson and coach Luke Walton. These are things likely to weigh into Leonard's next stop.

Regardless of these murmurs, the Raptors are still expected to make a pitch to Leonard. And one thing that could help is if Toronto at least makes it to the NBA Finals. Should they be able to do that, Leonard could see it as a challenge and want another crack next season. And taking a look at the roster, Toronto does seem to have a complete team.

There are Kyle Lowry, Danny Green and Marc Gasol in the lineup, more than formidable teammates that easily explains why the Raptors could go all the way this season. On paper, the Raptors seem solid - meaning disposing of their upcoming opponents is doable.

Right now, they are embroiled in an NBA first-round series with the Orlando Magic. From there, their next foes become harder. They do have the tools in place, meaning it may be a matter of tactic. Nurse is responsible for all it, the aftermath of which may dictate if Leonard stays or goes.
