Jamie Fraser (played by Sam Heughan) is getting a new look on Outlander season 5. As the show moves past its 1770 timeline, the leading man in this highly-popular Starz series will be wearing a new outfit and new hairstyle to depict the show's correct colonial American setting.

Heughan shared the photo of his character's new look on Instagram. As expected, the show's loyal followers posted their appreciation and commended the series' costume team for always making the characters look fabulous.

Outlander season 5 will be based on "The Fiery Cross," which is the fifth book in the series penned by Diana Gabaldon. Actor Richard Rankin, who plays Jamie's son-in-law Roger Wakefield, told Radio Times that there would only be a little time difference between this season and the last.

"There's a little passage of time, but there's a lot going on for all of the characters, and there's a lot of new relationships to be forged," Rankin said.

In Outlander season 4, Jamie and his wife Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) decided to stay put and build their home on Fraser's Ridge in North Carolina. According to executive producer Matthew B. Roberts, the Frasers will be right in the middle of the birth of America, and they will become an integral part of this community of settlers.

There will be conflicts on a personal level with the Frasers as well, especially with what happened last season. Jamie mistakenly beat up his son-in-law, and Rankin said that Roger would not be over this too quickly.

In other news, Heughan will reportedly meet with Prince Charles at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow on Friday, May 3. The crown prince, who is one of the patrons of the premier performing arts school, will be there for a speaking engagement. He will also be watching the students perform along with Heughan.

The actor, on the other hand, is an alum of the institution, as one of its graduates in 2003. Heughan will also be participating in a Q & A with the acting school's students, as per The Scottish Sun.

"I'm also delighted that Sam Heughan can join us for this special occasion," the school's principal said. "Sam is a fantastic role model, and I hope he too enjoys his visit."
