Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi unveiled today its flagship killer smartphones, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 Pro. The much-awaited flagship killer devices have been the subject of numerous speculations for a while now. Here are the essentials details that we know so far about these latest devices from Xiaomi's Redmi.
At an event in China today, Redmi unveiled the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 pro along with their respective specifications and prices. The company also announced that the Redmi K20 Pro will have a limited edition "Avengers" variant with themes, custom designs, and wallpapers related to the popular hit franchise. The Redmi K20 runs on Snapdragon 730 chipset.
The Redmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, is the first-ever smartphone to run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 855. Both variants sport OLED panels, 48 MP main cameras, elevating cameras, and UD fingerprint scanners. The Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 both have Game Turbo 2.0, which designated resources for gaming.
On top of that, the game turbo integrates a smart switch that automatically transfers WiFi to 4G networks to prevent lag and smooth Internet connectivity. In terms of camera, it has three snappers with the Sony IMX586 sensor as its major setup. The second snapper is a 13 MP that comes with an extremely wide angle lens. The third shooter, on the other hand, is an 8 MP telephoto.
The flagship devices also boast its 960fs slow-mo video recording. Both variants sport the elevating selfie camera that has AI capabilities and a 20 MP sensor. In terms of battery, the Redmi K20 Pro has a 4,000 mAh fast-charging battery that brings 27W. The device is capable of charging 58 percent of its battery in as fast as 30 minutes while the entire power cell could be filled in as fast as 74 minutes.
The Redmi K20 has a couple of variants available in Blue or Red colors. The Redmi K20 6GB RAM with 64 GB storage option variant is available at around $289. The 6GB Ram with 128 GB storage option variant is priced at $303.
The Redmi K20 Pro, on the other hand, is available in four variants for the standard phone and a fifth variant called the Redmi K20 Pro Avengers Edition. Unfortunately, the price of the Avengers Edition was not disclosed but the company says that it will come with several goodies.
The Redmi K20 Pro is available in 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage capacity is priced at $361. The variant with 6GB RAM and 128 storage capacity is available at $377. Meanwhile, 8GB Ram with 128 GB variant is available at $405 while the 8GB RAM with 256 GB storage is available at $434.
