The First Lady Melania Trump's daily diet choices has kept her fit and trim, despite her busy schedule, plus a growing son to turn her attention to, not to mention a busy president-husband to keep up with. And while everyone may be wondering what her expensive secrets are for staying healthy, it would come as a surprise what she actually eats.
The First Lady is a health buff, evidenced by her glowing looks despite her 49 years and her slim figure envied and admired by many. Melania has a tendency to shy away from the public eye, unless it is demanded by her duties as the First Lady of the United States. But, over the years, she has shared some of her healthy recipes and some tips that she actually follows to keep herself glowing and vital.
Melania is an early riser and gets up around 5:30 am each morning, just as her husband, President Donald Trump, also rises. She usually tends to her son Barron's needs before sending him off to school. And then she has her favorite breakfast.
Surprisingly that entails something very simple, when it comes to the First Lady's choices. It was revealed that the FLOTUS favors a light and healthy daily meal. She usually has her usual green smoothie for breakfast each day. The recipe has been requested by fans who want to follow in her footsteps in staying healthy and beautiful each day.
This was back in 2013, and the FLOTUS has gladly shared what she puts in her special drink for the first meal of the day. She posted her list of ingredients on Facebook for everyone to appreciate.
Her "every day" yummy and sound first daily go-to green smoothie of the day makes use of "only" the freshest and organically grown fruits and vegetables. Melania throws in some celery and spinach, carrots, and then some fruits, apples and blueberries. She adds some apple and orange juice as well as some yogurt---fat-free of course.
And for some vitamin and mineral supplementation, she also throws in a bit of olive oil, flax seeds, Omega 3 and vitamins A, C, as well as E (to keep her "skin, hair, and nails" in good condition). In addition, the First Lady strives to eat up to seven pieces of a variety of fruit each day that adds to her vitamin and mineral sources.
At times when something more filling is demanded, she takes in some oatmeal, a good source of fiber and iron as well as more vitamins. She makes it a point as well to keep hydrated with just plain water throughout her day.
To keep her skin young and firm, she opts for a daily moisturizer regimen and stays away from Botox injections, to which she is said to be "against" using on herself. She tops it all off with a goodly amount of sleep and rest.
The First Lady does not believe in fad diets, and in fact indulges herself with her favorite foods once in a while. These include chocolate and ice cream.
She believes it is part of a healthy lifestyle to give in to some cravings, but just "once in a while." Instead, she goes for balance in what she takes in, and so, her simple indulgences are a bit of dark chocolate and some Diet Coke.
While Melania stays away from too much of these indulgences, she can't say no to chicken parmigiana from her favorite resto Jean Goerges in New York City. And as with any healthy lifestyle, the diet is only one thing.
The First Lady prefers activities like Pilates and playing tennis to keep sprightly, and occasionally goes for ankle weights. She swears by these as being crucial to her efforts in bringing her body back to its state after having given birth to her only child, Barron.
