Suga may not be the oldest member of BTS, but fans dubbed him as the “grandpa” of the bunch. While the rest of the members are always cheerful, Suga mostly appears to be emotionless.

Although he is certainly not the most talkative out of all the members, when he does say something, people listen. In fact, during his Naver V Live broadcast on June 1, the BTS star shared a pretty wise tip to the fans.

While talking to ARMY during the broadcast, Suga mentioned how happy it makes him seeing fans singing along and dancing during their music rather than recording the concert. He said “It really gives me a lot of energy” to see people reacting to the performance rather than watching through their phone screen.

“This is just a tip but if you go to a concert, even if it isn’t BTS, just have all the fun you can,” Suga said. “Instead of standing there with your phone and taking videos for the whole show, capture the moment with your eyes. Sing and dance.”

“Yes, you can watch your phone videos many times over and over again, but it’s fun to be able to engage yourself in the moment,” he added. While Suga acknowledges that phone videos can be useful to keep memories, he believes the strongest memories come from actually experiencing the event itself.

Several entertainment agencies and concert production companies in the K-Pop industry actually discourage fans from taking photos and videos, even through phones, during concerts. Some even implement their ‘no recording’ rules so strictly that it may even result in getting kicked out of the venue for those who attempt to violate it.

This is not the first time Suga shared wise advice. On April 17, BTS held the press conference for their new album Map of the Soul: Persona in Seoul. One question asked Suga to share a comment for the “2nd BTS.”

"I don't think there could be a '2nd BTS.'" He explained, "I think a '2nd so-and-so' does not exist. When you're young, there are heroes that you look up to. When I first started the music, I also wanted to be like the ones I admired but I didn't become them. I became BTS. Rather than saying having the '2nd BTS,' I think it'll be better to produce other great artists and singers."
