The launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold was delayed again as Samsung continues to fix the many issues that were found recently on its soft launch. The Galaxy Fold was supposed to be launched last April, but Samsung postponed it amidst the breaking scandal and bad reviews it receives. A relaunch in July was rumored, but today, Samsung confirmed that this is not true. No definite date was given as of today.

Samsung was very hopeful with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, the very first folding smartphone on the market. Expectations were skyrocketing, and the price of $2000 indicated that we are facing one of the most important smartphones of the company. However, after the bad reviews of some media that were given a chance to test the fold, indicating that there were major structural failures such as bubbles in the smartphone's glass and that the Galaxy Fold easily breaks, Samsung had to delay its launch indefinitely.

Last May, Best Buy canceled Samsung Galaxy Fold orders because Samsung did not offer a new release date. Earlier this week, AT & T sent cancellation announcements to those who had paid for the Galaxy Fold in pre-sale arguing Samsung's delay in launching the device. Users who purchased the Fold in advance will receive AT & T promotional credit for $100.

Many rumored that the Galaxy Fold could be presented to the Korean press in June and that it would go on sale in July, but those rumors seem to have vanished. According to The Korean Herald, Koh Dong-jin, head of Samsung's smartphone business unit confirmed that the launch of the Galaxy Fold would not take place in July.

The company representative said that they have an important event in just a month away, they would be doing such promotions for it, but they have not. This is because very few progress, to none, has been done to address the Samsung Galaxy Fold issues since April.

This indicates that we will not see the Galaxy Fold, at least until August. But taking into account that Samsung will present the Galaxy Note10 that month, it is easy to say that it the launch will go beyond August since they will not want both smartphones to compete with each other or to steal the spotlight in sales. The company, however said that there will be announcements for the Samsung Galaxy Fold's launch date in the next few weeks.

Foldable phones are meant to be the future, but delays to the Mate X and Galaxy Fold threaten to make the new designs dead even before it arrives. However, it will be best to wait for Samsung to announce when this Galaxy Fold will reach the market as it seems that the first two folding phones on the market are taking their time to perfect this technology. Today, Huawei also announced the delay launched of their Mate X foldable phone.

Various phone brands who also have foldable smartphone plans are Apple, LG, TCL, and Oppo. All have either filed patent applications for foldable designs or announced that they are already working on one. Rumors are also ripe for a foldable Moto Razr comeback design that will modernize the beloved flip phone. For now, we just have to wait for the perfect foldable phone to launch in the market
