Despite efforts to keep the specs of its prized Pixel flagship smartphone, Google is once again defied by a recent leak. This time around, the leak revealed the screen dimensions of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4XL.
Notable tech leaker @OnLeaks just revealed that the Pixel 4 will be a tad smaller than the Pixel 4 XL. The Pixel 4 will sport a 5.6 to a 5.8-inch screen. While not exceptionally big compared to some of its direct competitions, it still packs a serious screen real estate. Some have said that Google kept the dimension this way in order to properly accommodate the phone's aspect ratio. On the other hand, the Pixel 4 XL will sport a larger screen which is rumored to hover around 6.2 to 6.4-inch.
In terms of dimension, the Pixel 4 is expected to measure 147 x 68.9 x 8.2mm, while its larger counterpart will measure 160.4 x 75.2 x 8.2mm. Notice that the phones are a little bit thicker compared to previous generations of Pixel phones that is because Google is investing quite a huge on the phones' battery.
Google recently responded to a number of leaked renders of the upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone. In response to the leaks, the tech giant released a photo of what appears to be the back panel of the Pixel 4. The official photo also confirmed one of the widely circulated rumors about the phone's camera configuration.
The photo released by Google features two phones showing the top and bottom part in a split view. The most interesting of this is the top part of the phone, which features quite an unusual camera configuration. The Pixel 4 appears to have a three-camera configuration and a flash arranged inside a square with rounded corners located on the top left portion of the phone. The bottom part of the phone just features Google's iconic logo.
Based on the released photos, the Pixel 4 will also sport an all-glass back finish. However, it looks like Google is ditching its two-tone color configuration this time and instead adopt a more minimalist design strategy. Following the release of the photo, many pointed out the minimalist design claiming that it looks classy and clean compared to previous iterations of the phone.
Google has yet to announce the official release date of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. However, there are rumors that the phones will be within the fourth quarter of this year and will be released alongside the latest version of its mobile operating system, Android Q.
