Things are looking bleak for fans eagerly hoping to hear more good news about the much-awaited game "The Elder Scrolls 6" from Bethesda. We all know that game director Todd Howard made it clear that we will not hear much about the highly anticipated sixth iteration of "The Elder Scrolls" until it is nearing its launch. But, there are some juicy but tiny details that the popular game developer shared in several interviews which might have already given us a clue when to expect the game.

Apart from winning the Best Action Game and Best PC Game from the Game Critics' Awards at this year's E3 for "Doom," it has revealed that Bethesda Game Studios are still hard at work on "The Elder Scrolls 6" and "Starfield." Although many are anticipating that the gaming studio will release the gameplay of the game at the E3 event, nothing was shown but just an update. However, if we look back on some of the things that were revealed in the past, there are some clues today that tell us it might be possibly near.

It is a public knowledge that "The Elder Scrolls 6" will arrive after Bethesda's latest AAA RPG title "Starfield" is released. But, the space exploration sci-fi game will not be released on the current gaming platforms available but on next-generation consoles, according to Todd Howard. During this year's E3 event, Phil Spencer announced Project Scarlett, which is the next generation console from Microsoft and the predecessor of Xbox One X.

Although we have not yet heard anything from Sony on the release date of their next-generation console PlayStation 5, the most possible release for their console is probably 2020, which is the same release window we will all be seeing the Project Scarlett in the market. So, based on previews statements from the game developer, we can tick our box for the next generation console for "Starfield's" release. But, what about "The Elder Scrolls 6?"

In one of his previews interviews, Todd Howard shared that all of Bethesda Studios are currently involved in the development of both "Starfield" and "The Elder Scrolls 6," which simply means that they are putting in a lot of people to not only improve the production but to also speed it up as well. Knowing that "Starfield" will be ahead of "The Elder Scrolls 6" if the sci-fi RPG title is going to be released in 2020, then the sixth iteration of "The Elder Scrolls" is going to be a year or three after that (hopefully).
