Meghan Markle is not quite of her maternity leave, but she surprised the crowd by appearing at the first Major League Baseball (MLB) London game at the Elizabeth Olympic Park last Saturday, June 29. The Duchess of Sussex joined her husband Prince Harry at this sporting event and pleased the crowd with their public display of affection (PDA).

Meghan was garbed in a dark Stella McCartney dress and ballet flats as they watched the games between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees. The couple appears to be in such great spirits despite their sleepless nights as new parents, as they can't seem to stop smiling at each other.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex later met with the players at the dugout where they were handed presents for baby Archie Harrison, who was not with the couple. The baseball pros also took the opportunity to have a group photo with Prince Harry and Meghan.

"I was very, very nervous. I haven't felt this nervous in a while, but it was a great moment for the team," Alex Cora, the manager for the Red Sox said after meeting the Sussex royals, per People."We were pleased to have them in the clubhouse."

The royal couple was at the event to be with the 10 participants of Prince Harry's Invictus Games. One of the competitors was tasked to carry out the ceremonial first pitch, according to The Washington Post. The Duchess was said to have uttered she was glad it wasn't her who had to pitch.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Queen Elizabeth is planning to host a birthday tea for Meghan in Balmoral. She has invited the Duchess of Sussex to join her in Scotland as the former actress turns 38 in August.

A source told the news outlet that this was a favorable gesture coming from the Queen. It's a testament that Meghan is indeed a welcome addition to the family.

Incidentally, this will be the first visit for the Sussex royals as a family in the Scottish Highlands. The source also added that Prince Harry is keen on letting Archie spend time in this Scottish countryside, as it was also his special playground as a child.

Meanwhile, Archie's baptism is expected to be taking place in the weekend of July 6 or 7, according to Harper's Bazaar. The Queen will not be a private ceremony, and it's expected that the Sussex couple will have a limited number of guests only.

Archie is the seventh in line to the succession in the British throne.
