Leaked photos of the latest Land Rover Defender circulated the internet giving everyone an early view of the features of the next-generation car. The leak was followed by another leak that showed the SUV's front view.

The image was posted by user bu3amraz_garage, and it is not clear how they came across the photo. The new Defender was modernized from its classic model. It is contrary to the latest Mercedes-Benz G-Class that was unchanged from the original.

The model is scheduled for debut this September. Its leaked photo was posted on Instagram showing its slender single bar grille flanked by squared-off headlight that is covered by circular lighting units. The photo also showed a wide lower intake with a contrasting silver insert. The new Defender has plastic body cladding, prominent fender flares, front fender vents, black accents on the A-pillars, and a contrasting white roof. There were no photos of the Defender's rear its digital instrument cluster has shown that the car will have a flat roof and retain its predecessor's boxy shape.

The new Defender showcased a white-painted roof that has a sunroof at the back. The new car also might come with all sorts of color combinations and an optional partial glass roof. Its floating C-pillar gives the car a more modern look than the original. It has a breezy windshield, five-spoke alloys, and flared wheel arches that round up some of the car's key exterior features. The latest prototype of the car has a mileage of 15,409km.

The new Defender's front looks sleek but a bit bland and could be easily mistaken for a baby Discovery compared to the rugged old model. It is however certain that the car in the photo is at its developing stage and its final design may vary from it. The new model will be built on the same aluminum structure as the new Discovery, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport. It was confirmed that Land Rover would launch both conventional and mild-hybrid powertrains.

According to last week's Lego leak, the Defender will be available with a straight-six engine. There are other photos that confirmed that the car would be available with a touchscreen infotainment system, climate control, and a customizable instrumentation display. It was also revealed the availability of independent rear suspension, an anti-roll bar, and air suspension. The Australian arm of Jaguar Land Rover said that the Defender would start entering local showrooms and driveways in 2020.
