After three years since its first launch and half a million units sold, Land Rover finally reveals the updated 2020 Discovery Sport. It shows a more modern touch to its exterior and interior, incorporating state-of-the-art technology, more efficient engine sand premieres gasoline, diesel and a semi-hybrid variant, in addition to a plug-in hybrid that runs in three cylinders.

The 2020 Discovery Sport changes its exterior a bit but have managed to make it look more modern and exciting, The front receives new full LED headlights with sharper lenses and dual LED daytime running lights. The grid also became smaller, gaining new aesthetic elements in.

On the sides, only the alloy wheels that can go from 18 to 21 inches are new. In the rear, however, Land Rover has decided to change the layout of the LED lights which like the headlights, eliminate the circular theme of the optical assembly, adopting extended beams of light.

Inside the Discovery Sport 2020 is where one would find more changes. It has let go of the rusticity in details of the previous model and provide a more sophisticated environment, starting with the same four-spoke steering wheel and satellite controls of the Discovery 5 and Range Rover line.
It is now in front of the digital trend, incorporating two new screens, one is the 12.3-inch instrument panel and one is the 10 inch Touch Pro infotainment system which has been updated with the latest advances in connectivity and offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
In the central console, the traditional dials for heating disappeared and are replaced by new larger and more modern looking dials and a hidden interface that also allows controlling the Terrain Response 2 and the Advanced Tow Assist, among other functions.
The new Discovery Sport also mounts newly designed and extended seats, which in the second row are sliding and folding in a distribution 40:20:40. The designers have also included more space to store objects and new modularity systems to optimize the car during family use. The SUV also received massagers in the front seats and wireless smartphone charging by induction.
One of the most notable interior equipment is the intelligent mirror which transforms into an HD video screen at the touch of a button. This allows to see the rear of the vehicle projected through a camera, even if the rear seats are occupied by people of great height.
2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport Variants
The new Land Rover Discovery Sport is available for sale a starting price of 39,400 euros and is available in Standard, S, SE and HSE finishes and the luxury and sporty version R-Dynamic.
