DeMarcus Cousins appears to be having difficulty finding a new home in the league for its upcoming season. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN said that at the moment there is not a market for the free-agent center. According to the NBA insider, it is possible that Cousins was hoping that big-market teams would offer him a deal, but unfortunately, they have had cap space, and all he could get is a one year deal with an offer ranging between $12 million and $20 million deal.

But, according to Adrian Wojnarowski, the mid-level exception that DeMarcus Cousins got last year in the Golden State Warriors is not happening this year. The NBA analysts said he believes that deal is no longer there. Aside from having difficulty finding a new home, the former NBA All-star also shifts in terms of agent representation, which appears to reflect this line of thinking.

New York Times' Marc Stein said that Demarcus Cousins changed his agent and hired Jeff Schwartz of Excel Sports with high hopes to get ink a deal. Last summer, Cousins inked a deal with the Golden State Warriors but only began playing for them in January after his torn Achilles tendon, which he got from playing as a part of the New Orleans Pelicans. Cousins only averaged 16.3 points, 3.6 assists, 8.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1.5 blocks in around 25.7 minutes of action in each game.

The LA Lakers, New York Knicks, and the Boston Celtics are among the teams that have been rumored to have interest with the former NBA All-star player. Cousins also stated previously that he is open to returning to the Golden State Warriors. He said that he really enjoyed his time with the team and he is open, and he will just wait to see what happens.

While DeMarcus Cousins appears to be a decent fit playing along with the four other NBA All-Stars in Golden State Warriors, it seems that the Warriors are going to a different direction in the NBA 2019-2020 Season. It can be recalled that the team recently inked a deal with the giant seven-footer Willie Cauley-Stein and let go Jordan Bell to free agency without even offering a match to the offer of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Interestingly, the Golden State Warriors also inked another deal with Kevon Looney.

DeMarcus Cousins will eventually find his new home. One thing is sure, he will not be out of league in the upcoming NBA season. But, he might have to wait much longer and maybe accept a lesser than his expected amount of offer.
