But, a recent report reveals that the NBA Finals MVP is taking his time with his decision. And, he is reportedly going to consult with influential persons in his life before revealing which team he will be playing in the upcoming NBA season.
Hutson, one of the very few people who know what it is like to recruit and acquire Kawhi Leonard is quite familiar with what the NBA star is doing right now. According to him, the significant influences in Leonard's life are the same people whom he will go to and seek advice. This includes his mother Kim Robertson and his uncle, Dennis Robertson.
Hutson also revealed that he is going to make a decision on his own terms at his own pace. He added that Leonard would surely talk to people important to him about his decision. Unfortunately, unlike other NBA players, Hutson disclosed that he is not going to leak any detail or even hold an announcement.
Hutson first discovered Kawhi Leonard when he was a junior high school student and not long after he moved from Canyon Springs High in Moreno Valley to Kings. During that time, San Diego State was a bit worried that other schools with more prominent profiles would spot him at the recruit during summer club. However, Hutson revealed that the NBA Finals MVP is uniquely serious about the sports and very loyal to those who treat his game the same.
Kawhi Leonard is among the last of the still unsigned high-profile free agents. Rumors have it that he is torn between the LA Lakers and the Toronto Raptors. Leonard led the Raptors to its first-ever NBA championship win against the Golden State Warriors, and his decision will surely shift the balance of power in the Eastern Conference should he opt to go to the LA Lakers and join LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Jalen Rose of ESPN said last Monday that Leonard is returning to Toronto Raptors and will sign a two-year contract with the latest NBA champion. 11 years after his last recruitment, Kawhi Leonard has played with three teams and fans are eager to read the star's decision that until now remained very private.
