LA Lakers finally completed the Anthony Davis trade; however, the real work is far from over for the team aiming to be the best in the upcoming NBA 2019-2020 season. New rumors surfaced recently indicating that the Lakers are gunning for two more seasoned big men in the league to round up its roster. Two sources claim that the LA Lakers is looking to bring back Brook Lopez and a more cost-efficient addition in person of DeAndre Jordan.

The LA Lakers still got eight roster spots to fill through free agency, and it seems that this time they are going after the heavy hitters. ESPN's Brian Windhorst mentioned that the Lakers is being linked to DeAndre Jordan on the premise that the NBA star could be acquired on a much cheaper deal. He also noted that Jordan had shown interest in going back to Los Angeles.

DeAndre Jordan spent his career's first 10 seasons with Los Angeles Clippers before he moved to Dallas Mavericks before the last season started. Windhorst also said that the LA Lakers is interested with Brook Lopez who used to play for the team during the 2017-2018 season. Lopez was let go as a free agent last summer and joined the Milwaukee Bucks which he led to the top tier of the NBA Eastern Conference.

The most recent claims indicate that the LA Lakers is interested in big players, which seems to be a logical choice. Aside from Moritz Wagner and Anthony Davis, the team does not have a contract with any big men. To fill out the remaining roster, the LA Lakers has as little as $23.7 million cap size left.

There were also recent rumors about Nikola Vucevic joining the team following his performance with the Orlando Magic and inclusion in the All-Star season. But the Brook Lopez and DeAndre Jordan scenarios are more practical choices taking into consideration their experience. They could also be enticed of playing for the championship, which is something both of them have never won up to this point of their careers.

The Brooklyn Nets is also rumored eyeing DeAndre Jordan in the hopes of enticing Kevin Durant to sign with the team. DeAndre Jordan and Kevin Durant are close friends, and it would be more enticing if the Nets allows the two NBA stars to play together under the same team. The news surfaced following several reports indicating that Kyrie Irving is courting Kevin Durant to sign with Brooklyn Nets.
