The New Orleans Pelicans, after several rounds of trade negotiations, let go of the All-star center Anthony Davis to LA Lakers. The pelicans in exchange got Josh Hart, Lonzo Ball, and Brandon Ingram along with three first-round picks. But, it appears that like the rest of the NBA teams, the New Orleans Pelicans is not yet done with its moves and rumors have it that the team might pursue Kevin Love.

According to Terry Pluto of Cleveland.com, Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers tops the list of possible trade targets for the New Orleans Pelicans. So far, Kevin Love is not yet officially available on the trading block the 2019 NBA offseason. But, it will not be a surprise f David Griffin, Vice President of Basketball Operations of the Pelicans asks about the NBA star's availability.

According to Cleaveland.com, a source informed him that David Griffin likes Kevin Love. Griffin used to be the general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers. He was the brain behind the blockbuster deal that exchanged Andrew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett to Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

The New Orleans Pelicans could explore the trade package number 4 pick in the NBA Draft for 2019. This possible deal could send Cleveland Cavalier's Kevin Love to the Pelicans, according to Pluto. David Griffin has obviously done everything he could to persuade Anthony Davis to stay.

But, it was Anthony Davis who was determined to leave the team leaving the Pelicans with no other choice but to find him a new home. The Anthony Davis trade opened a lot of interest on the next moves of the New Orleans Pelicans. Like all other teams, the Pelicans is not yet done with its moves.

The team will most likely undergo a rebuild on a full-scale basis. Many speculated that the Pelicans might use their trade assets to obtain players that could contribute to the team to stay competitive in the Western Conference for the upcoming NBA season.

Although acquiring Kevin Love will not instantly mean that the Pelicans will be an automatic contender, however, integrating him to the team composed of Lonzo Ball, Zion Williamson, Jrue Holiday, and Brandon Ingram will obviously make the New Orleans Pelicans a team to watch out for in the NBA 2019-2020 season.

But the team will be a promising one, especially if the key players grow together and build great chemistry. If the speculations the New Orleans Pelicans getting Kevin Love on the team turned out accurate and becomes successful, the team has a solid chance of becoming a formidable threat in the Western Conference of the NBA in the coming years.
