Huawei Mate 30 Pro display could have one of the most interesting designs in the industry this year. That is if the latest leak about the upcoming smartphone from the Chinese tech giant is accurate. According to the leak, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro display will have side curves of approximately 90 degrees, which is far more than the screen of the flagship devices available in the market today.
It can be recalled that there were several reports earlier that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro display will curve on all four sides of the screen. It appears that the image of the latest leak aligns with that previous report. In addition, some supply chain insiders believe that the Chinese tech titan is now researching a new type of glass unibody design.
In the image of the alleged Huawei Mate 30 Pro below, you can see that the display appears to extend to the device's sides. This could mean that there will be no slot for the sim card or memory card or even the volume and power buttons. In other words, if the leaked image is accurate, Huawei might simulate these buttons.
In regards to the SIM, it is possible that the Chinese tech titan might forgo the traditional SIM card and opt for the eSIM alternative. The drawback of this option is that it could limit the audience, especially in countries and markets where the eSIM is not yet used. The edges of the display panel will most likely be attached to the curvatures of the back panels of Huawei Mate 30 Pro.
Apparently, the metal frame that can be usually found in the middle of the front and back panels might be completely removed. But, the glass body design is really a lot difficult to make compared to the ceramic ones. So, the rumored design for Huawei Mate 30 Pro still remains to be seen.

When it comes to the specifications, the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is anticipated to have a 6.71-inch OLED screen with a massive notch at the topmost part of the device. This is potentially to cover the necessary sensors that will be used for 3D facial recognition. The display of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is also anticipated to have a fingerprint reader on it similar to the Mate 20 pro.
There are many speculations that the Huawei Mate 30 Pro will be powered by the 7nm next generation EUV-processed Krin 985 SoC with the Balong 5000 5G modem. The device is expected to be released in December 2019, but the base model might come earlier than that.
