Pwn20wnd recently made changes to unc0ver, updating the jailbreak tool to version 3.3.7. The announcement wasn't grand - the developer simply informed everybody via a tweet and wrote that the updated tool should improve the Sock Port exploit on 4K devices.
Apart from improvements to the Sock Port exploit, the recent update also came with fixes and other improvements. The developer previously released version 3.3.1 then updated it to version 3.3.2. The team has been making incremental updates since then, bringing over version 3.3.7 to repair some issues related to kernel offsets in iOS 11, and as mentioned, support for 4K devices.
Unc0ver v3.3.7's main goal is to improve overall performance. In the past, the jailbreaking tool on an iOS 12.1.2 device involved having to wait six seconds for some functions to operate. With the new update, those six seconds will be reduced.
If you have had some reliability issues before, this new version should make you happy. You simply have to use Cydia Impactor to download, and you can now update it to the most recent version. To enjoy the improvements and fixes in unc0ver v3.3.7, it's recommended that you re-jailbreak your iPhone.
To those using unc0ver's new Sock Port exploit to jailbreak an A7-A8 device on iOS 11.0-12.1.4, remember to run this updated tool so you can maximize the full benefits that come with this update. Installing it is safe since it is not a beta. Visit this link to download the latest version.
In other news, those who have been waiting for an iOS 13 jailbreak is up for some great news. Pwn20wnd also announced in a tweet that Cydia works fine on iOS 13 iPhones that have been pre-jailbroken.
Exciting news arrived last week for users waiting for an iOS 13 jailbreak. In a tweet, Pwn20wnd confirmed that Cydia works fine on a pre-jailbroken iPhone on iOS 13.
"If anyone's wondering, I can confirm that Cydia works fully fine without any changes on iOS 13.0 :-). (Tested on a pre-jailbroken installation with @CorelliumHQ," the tweet read. The developer added that Subtrate also worked on iOS 13, although modifications will be needed. Cydia has become the most popular tool used by jailbreakers largely due to the continuous developer support and the lack of rivals.
The new release should improve stability and performance overall, and this news will be definitely well received by the jailbreaking community, especially those who have had issues with reliability previously.
