Melania Trump purchased a luxurious one-bedroom apartment perched on the 33rd floor of one of New York's high rise buildings in Midtown Manhattan. The first lady bought the $1.5 million property back in January 2016, from the condominium board of her own husband's skyscraper, the Trump Tower.

As the President of the United States, Trump is required to adhere to a transparency report in the form of his financial disclosure in order for the public to review his financial statements and assets and to triple check if these records do not reflect a conflict of interest.
Moreover, these forms are expected to reveal a lot of things about President Trump's finances. Another thing about the disclosure forms that the public are adamant on getting their hands on is proof of the alleged hush money President Trump had to reimburse after his own personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, allegedly paid the adult film star Stormy Daniels for her services and her company that the President reportedly longed for and paid a huge amount in exchange for.
In addition to that, the President's financial disclosure form also gives people a sneak peek into the First Lady's finances and active income.
Two of Melania's most recent financial disclosure forms have revealed a lot on a $1.5 million apartment she purchased around three years ago. The forms had detailed about the one-bedroom luxury apartment she bought from the high-rise building's condominium board.
However, people are speculating about why the First Lady mysteriously bought the place in Trump Tower, from her own husband.
The luxurious and high-end apartment which is now in Melania's name was first put on the real estate market back in 1983, just months after the whole skyscraper had finished up construction and decorated the New York skyline.
The building is nestled on Fifth Avenue on the bustling streets of Midtown Manhattan. With a regal glass exterior, Trump Towers in New York has a total of 68 floors containing around 265 lavish apartments.
On the tower's 26th floor is President Trump's office for his very own Trump Organization. The building is reported to have a private elevator just for the President's personal use that could take him from his penthouse down to the offices without the hassle of waiting outside a public service elevator.
According to the disclosure forms, Melania owns Apartment H located on the 33rd floor. There have been no photographs released of the place nor has she been seen occupying the loft for some time now.
Her apartment, as per estimate of a similarly placed apartment below it, measures around 1,052 square feet and is perched on the southeast corner of the building where she has the perfect view of Fifth Avenue and East 56th Street.
There have been a lot of speculation and crazy theories about why the First Lady purchased this home, some saying she intends to make it a whole place to store her wardrobe or even a library. However, some believe it is just for her to have a private place to relax and get away from the troubles of being a First Lady at the White House.
