Prince Charles has waited half a decade and is still waiting for his turn to be King of England. He has been given the tile since nine years old, and from there he is apparent to the throne if his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, dies or wishes to step down. But knowing the 93-year old queen will not surely choose the latter as she has been known to fully live up to her duty until the last days of her life.

But because of the inevitable to come, Prince Charles has been getting most of the Queen's travels abroad and has considerably increased his royal engagements too. However, it doesn't mean that Prince Charles' time to be King of England is about to come, as he has been preparing it for almost 50 years.

As he has recently celebrated his 50 years as Prince of Wales, making him as the longest-reigning Prince of Wales ever in the history of British Monarchy, people tend to wonder how long he will have to wait. Another thing to take note too is that how the people do accept the idea that he will be King one day and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall would eventually Queen Consort.

However, judging by the way the Queen takes care of herself, in addition to her family's longevity, there is a great possibility that Queen Elizabeth could stay up for another decade. Take note that the Queen Mother, reached the age of 101 and most probably she has passed this too on her daughter.

At 93, Queen Elizabeth II is still active on her royal duties and can still travel abroad, although she passes on some of her travels to her eldest son, Prince Charles, at her age, the Queen is surprisingly has a lot to give. And that is what the people want too, based on a survey that says over 70% of the people in the UK wants Queen Elizabeth II to remain in the throne and hopes her to live more.

For Prince Charles, it is a matter of destiny and wrong choices that managed him the least favorite royal, more so as it were to compare to his ex-wife, the late Princess Diana. The late Princess of Wales has captured the hearts of the people, and no matter how she has her infidelities in the past, it was her charisma and ability to reach out to the people's feelings that made it even harder for now Duchess of Cornwall to live by.

There were also suggestions from the people that Prince Charles might consider giving up his throne for Prince William, as he seemed to have embodied his mothers' empathy to the people in need. Unfortunately, as much as the British Monarchy tries to make a good image for Prince Charles ever since in the 90's when they appointed PR adviser Mark Bolland, his past errors and meddling in politics gave him a negative review.
