Harvey Elliot is a teenage sensation who made his name when he became the youngest player to debut in Premier League history at just 16 years and 30 days. Now the young winger is already on his way to Liverpool for more glory. Liverpool pulled a lot of strings to acquire the young winner, and fans and analysts alike are positive that he will make a great impact on the club.

Elliot made just three appearances for Fulham during the 2018-2019 season. Despite this utter lack of exposure, the young star has already caught the attention of top clubs around the globe. Among these clubs are Real Madrid and RB Leipzig.

As the transfer window closes in and a strict competition from rival clubs, Liverpool was able to hit the sweet spot and managed to snag the 16-year-old winger. Liverpool confirmed on Sunday that the club has signed Elliot, and that he is already on his way to his new home, Anfield Stadium.

According to Liverpool, Elliot is already slated to be part of the squad that will play a friendly match against Italian club Napoli scheduled on Sunday. This is part of the pre-season preparations before the official start of the Premier League a couple of weeks from now.

It would appear that Liverpool is extremely keen into acquiring Elliot. He is just the second acquisition of the club for the whole summer transfer season after fellow young gun Sepp van den Berg signed a £1.3 million deal earlier this month.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has iterated on several occasions that following the club's successful Champions League campaign and placing second in the Premier League, they are confident with their current squad and will not make much of a show during the transfer window. Nevertheless, many analysts have noted that Liverpool's only two signings could prove that the club is keen into building a strong future built on the shoulders of this young acquisitions.

In an interview with ECHO, Klopp described Liverpool's plan for the rest of the transfer window as, "We are still looking, but it will not be the [biggest] transfer window of LFC. It will be a transfer window. We will see what we do, and if we haven't done anything by the end it will be for different reasons."

Liverpool is bent into improving its previous Premier League performance by ultimately winning the title. Moreover, the club is also intent into defending its Champions League title.
