Thomas Markle Jr., Duchess Meghan's half-brother, said in an interview that the Queen should intervene with the Markle Family's rift.

During an interview with the Sunday Mirror, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Charles should step in to reunite the Markles. The Duchess and his father, a retired TV lighting director, haven't spoken with each other since the day after her nuptials in May 2018. His father failed to attend her wedding because he is set to have heart surgery in the wake of a paparazzi photo scandal he was involved in.

According to a source, Ms. Markle has been very upset and would very much like for her father to be at the wedding. She was so upset that his father backed out of the wedding. Thomas shared some of the details of the feud with his fractured relationship with his only daughter in several interviews.

The Duchess' brother now hopes that she will be inspired to solve the conflict with her family now that she has a child of her own. He said in his message to his sister that now that she's a mother, he is hoping that she has grown up and mature enough to figure out the family is very important. He said that he thinks that the queen should step in and tell Meghan to make amends with her father and family.

He added that Prince Charles should force her sister to make amends with her family. Markle Jr. said that he feels he doesn't know Meghan anymore. He said that this is a different Meghan than they all grew up with. US Weekly reported in May that Meghan's father is "devastated" over not being given a chance to see his grandchild. The Duchess is a rift with her family except for her mother, Doria Ragland. She is her only family member present in the christening of baby Archie.

Markle Jr. hopes for the day that her sister is smart and mature enough to open up and let her family into her life and her baby's. He also urged her sister to call her father and let him be at least be part of her baby's life. In another report, Thomas Jr claimed that Meghan's late-mother, Princess Diana, will be disappointed that she has cut ties with the Markles. He also said that Meghan would carry the burden of not being there and not doing the right thing when their father dies. The Duchess half-brother was arrested in Oregon for DUI in January.
