Sony has yet to officially announce the release date of the much-awaited next-generation console, the PlayStation 5. But, it appears that gamers who have long been waiting for the arrival of the game can now pre-order the upcoming gaming console if the current posting is accurate. MediaMarkt in Sweden now accepts pre-orders for the PlayStation 5 which retails at approximately $1050.

First spotted by PCGames Hardware.de, MediaMarkt uploaded a pre-order page for the PlayStation 5 with details of its price. The online store, however, does not reveal the technical specs of the next-generation console from Sony. Interestingly, it shows the rumored specs for the hardware of the PlayStation 5.

Since Sony is yet to reveal the release window of its next-generation console officially, the pre-order page does not reveal as well the release date. Technically looking at the pre-order page, it seems that the online store merely as a placeholder page for the PlayStation 5. In regards to the pricing, it can be recalled that PS5 designer Mark Cerny earlier revealed that the upcoming next-generation console would be appealing concerning its set of advanced features.

For the online store's price, the $1000 could be too much to many gamers for a home gaming console. It also contradicts to the joint statement released by Sony and Microsoft recently in regards to the proposed increase in taxes, which according to them a mere 20 percent increase would be too much of a burden for ordinary Americans who want to enjoy video games at home. In Cerny's latest interview, he revealed that the PlayStation 5 would have a new audio technology that will allow gamers to hear the noises around them.

Additionally, the PlayStation 5 designer disclosed that the upcoming next generation console will have much faster loading time. Interestingly, it will also have the capability to play various titles released on its predecessor, the PlayStation 5. It will also have improved grpahics according to the designer.

Earlier reports also revealed that the PlayStation 5 will be a real game changer. It will house a custom SSD that cuts to an absolute minimum the loading times. Several game developers who have already tried the next generation gaming console from Sony were all praises about the console's computing prowess.

Several claims also said that the upcoming console would have better performance because of its APU or accelerated processing unit. We will bring you the latest news and update about the PlayStation 5 as soon as we hear more about it.
