The First Lady of the United States Melania Trump will be visiting Poland and Denmark toward this month's end with the President.
The trip is expected to coincide with the memorial for the Second World War in Poland, which Mrs. Trump and the President of the United States, Donald Trump will be attending. From there, the first couple will be going on to Denmark for an official visit to the Royal family in response to an invitation sent by Her Majesty Margrethe II.
Melania and the President will be away for this trip above from August 31 to September 3. On the first of September, the First Couple will be in attendance at the Warsaw war remembrance which will mark the 80th year of the beginning of World War II. They will also be going around the Polish city to drop by at memorial venues to pay their respects.
From Warsaw, the First Lady and the United States President will be going on to Denmark for a Royal engagement with the Queen of Denmark, as per invitation by the Royal personage. Melania will be accompanying Mr. Trump while he takes part in a few bilateral meetings as well as take part in talks with the business community in the said country.
The visit and these talks will be to purposely re-animate ties between the three countries, the United States of America, Poland, and Denmark. It is also an attempt to meet certain "security challenges," which the region has been facing.
These upcoming trips outside the country were announced by the Press Secretary in an official statement from the White House Wednesday. The visits come to a couple of months following Mr. and Mrs. Trump's trip to the United Kingdom to honor an invitation by England's Queen Elizabeth II.
The U.S. First Couple had paid a call on the monarch and attended a state banquet thrown by the Queen in their honor. With them at that trip were the President's older children, including Ivanka Trump-Kushner and her husband, Jared.
The 3-day visit had been kick-started in a short visit with heir to the British throne, Prince Charles, upon their arrival in the U.K. Melania had also met with the Queen as well as dropped by at Downing Street while her husband attended to other meetings, including one with former British Prime Minister Theresa May.
That trip had concluded in another memorial, that time the D-Day commemorations at Portsmouth, Hampshire, England. The 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings and the Battle of Normandy at the memorable location was attended by several key countries' representatives as well as war veterans from all over America, Poland, Britain, Canada, Denmark, Belgium, Australia, and the Netherlands.
Mr. and Mrs. Trump's visit comes two weeks shy of the previously reported schedule for the First Lady's planned state dinner for long-time excluded from such WH invitations by previous first ladies, Australia. The Trump's will be welcoming the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison and his wife, Jennifer for that affair on September 20.
