Huawei is the major Chinese telecom company that has greatly suffered from the US-China trade war. Despite this, it appears that the Chinese smartphone maker remains unshaken. If the recent set of leaks is to be believed, it seems that the upcoming flagship smartphone has a revolutionary camera set up that even Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 could not beat.
Huawei Mate 30 Pro has been successful in penetrating the smartphone industry because it has continuously introduced new revolutionary features in its smartphones, particularly in the camera hardware and setup. With a pair of new leaks popping up on the web recently, one can safely say that the Chinese smartphone maker is still banking on that particular strength with its upcoming flagship device the Huawei Mate 30 Pro. On Twitter, reliable serial leaker Ice Universe shared some of the amazing details of the camera hardware if Huawei's flagship smartphone which emphasized the massive gap between the Huawei Mate 30 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
The upcoming flagship smartphone from Huawei based on the details revealed by Ice Universe has notably large camera sensors similar to the approach made by Nokia to Lumia 1020. Huawei understands that increased resolution must be backed by larger sensors to capture amazing pictures even in a low-light environment. The leak on the camera setup of Huawei Mate 30 Pro seems to collaborate with the leaked details shared by another reliable leaker RODENT950.
There seems to be a lot of people who don't know how big the gap is. I'll draw a picture to tell you that, in fact, Note10 has no chance of beating Mate30 Pro in terms of camera hardware. pic.twitter.com/f8W2kSTLqk — Ice universe (@UniverseIce) August 4, 2019
The main camera sensor of the Huawei Mate 30 Pro is a 40 MP 15-inch sensor with an aperture of between f/1.6 to f/1.4. It is equipped with the same RYYB color filter like the one used by the P30 Pro. Theoretically, this will go well with a larger sensor that enables the smartphone to gather more light. It also sports a Cine Lens, which was earlier reported to have been spotted on patent filing. This feature of Huawei Mate 30 Pro is typically found in the works of professionals who prefer uninterrupted and optimized quality video recording. The second sensor according to the leak is another 40 MP 1.7-inch ultra-wide 120-degree shooter sensor equipped with Cine Lens. Meanwhile, the third sensor is an 8 MP telephoto lens with 5 times optical zoom.
I told you a few rumors about Mate 30 pro camera, IMO this is more possible. 40MP 1/1.5" sensor with f/1.6 - f/1.4 aparture, RYYB pixel layout and Cine lens features when taking video. 40MP 1/1.7" 120° ultrawide lens with cine lens features. 8MP tele 5X zoom#HuaweiMate30Pro pic.twitter.com/ac3ODQnqVV — Teme (特米) (@RODENT950) July 31, 2019
Based on the latest leaks, the Huawei Mate 30 is clearly designed to have the next generation camera powered by HiSilicon Kirin 986 SoC with built-in 5G modem. It is also believed to have a 10W wireless reverse charging and 55W fast-charging support. If we merely base on the leaks about the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and the Huawei Mate 30 Pro, the Chinese smartphone maker has a mile-long advantage compared to that of the South Korean tech giant. However, it is worth noting that these are just leaks and just like all other leaks this must be taken with a spoonful of salt.
