"The Elder Scrolls 6" is one of the highly-anticipated titles in the gaming industry. Fans have been talking about it for years with a plethora of speculations and rumors on the sides. Although we already know that the game might not come sooner than we expected, there are several details about the game that Todd Howard spilled in his previous interviews.

Bethesda Game Studios did not make any major announcement about "The Elder Scrolls 6." But there are many details about the game that fans have failed to analyze from the executive's previous interviews. One of these is about the model of the upcoming game.

Speaking to GamingBolt, Todd Howard said that Bethesda has a big ambition for the "The Elder Scrolls 6." Howard noted that they intend to do something about the much-awaited title so players can enjoy it for at least ten years. This statement, although shy on many details could imply that the game studio is planning that the game will adopt the Game As A Service model or more popularly known in the gaming industry as GAAS.

For the uninitiated, Game As Service Model are games released with very little content and heavily relies on the regular content roll out from the game developer to provide fresh contents for players to enjoy. This type of game model has plagued the gaming industry since most of the studios release a bare content and execute incremental content releases to keep the game relevant for a long time. This practice is despised by many players, and it would be very disappointing if Bethesda would do this to "The Elder Scrolls 6."

Game As Service models make gamers feel that they are cheated since most of the releases are either lacking or incomplete while paying for the full price of the game. Fortunately, Howard's statement is vague and might not even be about the "The Elder Scrolls 6" adopting the GAAS model. It is possible that his confidence about the longevity of "The Elder Scrolls 6" might be referring to the different mods that allowed "Skyrim" to be relevant and active all these years.

As for the release window of "The Elder Scrolls 6," so far, what many analysts have predicted were proven inaccurate. But, if we base it on the statement of Peter Hines, Bethesda's Senior Vice President of Global marketing and communications, it seems that the much-awaited title might be released between 2024 and 2025.
