Probably one of the most anticipated smartphone model to be released this year, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a flagship product that many users have been waiting for. Recently, the South Korean tech giant officially announced its next flagship model, as well as its sizes, specs, features, and price.
Samsung is flipping its own script in terms of releasing a flagship product. The tech giant announced that it is releasing two versions of the Galaxy Note 10. One is the standard Note 10 model, and the other one being the bigger Note 10 Plus.
As for its price and specs, the standard Galaxy Note 10 costs $949 and is only available in one configuration. It packs 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The bigger and fancier Note 10 Plus starts at $1,099 and has two configurations. The first one features 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. For an additional $100, the storage space can be upgraded to 512GB. Both models are currently available for pre-order, and Samsung confirmed that it would start shipping by August 23.
There is one vital feature that is missing on the two Note 10 models, and that is 5G capability. With the tech world slowly transitioning into the 5G realm, it surprised some in the tech world why the company did not equip its upcoming flagship devices with such capability. Nevertheless, Samsung understands the power of 5G technology, which is why the tech giant confirmed that it is releasing a Galaxy Note 10 5G model on preorder on August 23. However, this 5G model will be available only to the Verizon network for "a limited time."
Over the years, Samsung had adopted a lot of revolutionary design changes to its flagship Note models. It is the first smartphone to feature huge screens, and from thereon created a niche of its own. With some of its last few models, Samsung has focused on making sure that the Note is packed with top-of-the-line hardware for it to make a case that it is the best Android smartphone in the market. However, with new smartphone players coming into the fold, Samsung is forced to make some drastic measures. The company's flagship is now being challenged by newcomers like the Huawei P30 Pro and the OnePlus 7 Pro.
As for its specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 packs a Snapdragon 855 process. It has a 12-megapixel main camera and a 10-megapixel front-facing camera. It has a 4300mAh battery pack which Samsung claims should be enough to power the device for at least a day.
